If you're looking for more than just "a place to stay",
He was extremely friendly and willing to help me with any problems that I encountered along the way.

I just wanted to let you know...
... how much I’ve enjoyed staying at your place in Buenos Aires. It’s been comfortable, cozy, and with convenient access to anyplace I want to be in Buenos Aires, it’s an ideal place to stay.
If anyone is thinking about coming to Argentina, I would certainly recommend your home as a starting point. From here, and with your help, it’s very easy to travel all around Argentina.

Juan Carlos' properties in both San Telmo and Caballito are more than just places to lay your head.
The experience have been fantastic and señor Dima goes above and beyond just being helpful. He is always made himself available for questions, recommendations and advice.
I'll definately be back.

"How lucky I was to fall into the arms of this house", was written in Spanish inside the cover of a Lonely Planet Juan Carlos lent me- so true.
If you want to travel to Buenos Aires, come here. It's a great building, in great neighborhood, and close to all lines of transportation. It's also near all conveniences, great cheap eats, super market, and laundry.

I am an I.P.A. member in region 5 Nassau County NY/
I have stayed in a private accommodation in Caballito, BUENOS ARIES.
The owner's name is Juan Carlos and he is extremely helpful and knowledgeable of all. If anyone stays in his residence it will be a real cultural experience. I do recommend his residence to all.

Great place! :
Lovely rooms with a small "swimming pool" on the roof! Caballito is in a quiet barrio, handy if you want to get away (20 minutes by subway) from the busy and noisy city centre.
Friendly & helpful host! : he can bring you to interesting, less touristic places (italian wine-makers near the river, tango-places, neighbourhood-festivities,...) in and around the city.
He makes the best asado of Argentina. And will tell you revealing stuff about argentinian culture & politics. What do you want more?

Coming back to Buenos Aires, we were sure staying the same place,... as may be some other time in future!!
After travelling half a year with one VW kombi though several countries in south america, we felt quiet tired moving all the time.We were looking for a place to rest like at home. At Juan's place we found more than we expected. So we were soon involved in the social life of the house, talking about social and political situations of the country.

I had a
blast, and absolutely fell in love with Buenos Aires.
I stayed with Juan Carlos in his Caballito home for 6 weeks. I had done a homestay in another Latin American country that had turned out to feel more like a business than a cultural exchange. Because of that, I didn't expect much from a living situation that billed itself as a hostel--just a roof over my head.

Thanks again Juan for your great hospitality and friendship!!!
We met Juan Carlos through his website and booked a room in his cosy guesthouse in Buenos Aires, the place were our visit to South, Central and North America started. My motorcycle was shipped to Buenos Aires as well and knowing hardly any Spanish I was very happy that Juan Carlos helped me getting the bike out the harbor, customs clearing and all the paperwork.
